Maintenance Advocacy

An independent technical representative — working for the owner, not the shop.

A recurring, per-aircraft engagement for owners who want annuals, squawks, upgrades, and shop interactions handled with the same records discipline used on a pre-purchase — so maintenance stays right-sized, correctly documented, and scheduled ahead of the next problem.

What this is

Your independent A&P/IA on retainer, per aircraft.

Not a shop. Not a broker. A recurring relationship where every recommendation is traced to your aircraft's maintenance records and applicable data — kept for you, reviewed with you, and used to plan work before it becomes a scramble.

  • Annual planning: prior-year findings review, AD/SB status reconciliation, and a written scope brief before the aircraft enters a shop.
  • Squawk triage: independent read on discrepancies, deferral eligibility, and whether proposed repairs match the underlying condition and records history.
  • Owner-side technical representation: pre-induction expectations, scope questions raised on the owner's behalf, quote and records review, work-order and 8130 sanity checks, and post-visit documentation reconciliation. The shop retains authority and responsibility for its work and return-to-service actions.
  • Upgrade & modification review: STC/AML fit, records impact, weight-and-balance and ICA implications, and installer scope questions.
  • Records stewardship: keeping the aircraft's logbook chain, 337s, AD/SB matrix, and supporting evidence organized and current between events.
  • Forward calendar: next-due items projected out so annuals, inspections, and parts lead-time are scheduled — not discovered.

Independence is the product

Red Rock Aero Services does not sell you parts, mark up shop hours, or benefit from work performed elsewhere. The only deliverable is judgment traced to your aircraft's records and the applicable data.

Deliberately capped

The advocacy roster is intentionally small. Each owner is taken on only if the aircraft, mission, and expectations fit — because real attention is the point.

Owner reality

What advocacy answers.

Shops booked months out. Fleets over-maintained on calendar-driven habit rather than records evidence. Owners paying for work whose basis they cannot trace. Advocacy is the standing relationship that catches these before the invoice.

Step 01

Booked months out

Annuals and shop visits scheduled ahead against a projected list of next-due items — not discovered at drop-off.

Step 02

Over-maintenance

Recommendations tied to records evidence and applicable data, so work is neither skipped nor stacked out of habit.

Step 03

Opaque invoicing

Quotes and work orders reviewed against scope brief and prior records; changes in scope surfaced in writing before approval.

Step 04

Records drift

Logbooks, 337s, AD/SB status, and supporting evidence kept reconciled between events instead of rebuilt at resale.

Engage

Request scope & availability.

Advocacy engagements are recurring and per-aircraft, with a deliberately limited roster. Send the aircraft, mission, current shop relationships, and what you want handled differently.

Scope

Maintenance advocacy is technical representation and records review for owner decision support. It is not an inspection, an airworthiness determination, or an approval for return to service. Any maintenance performed by Red Rock Aero Services is scoped separately and subject to authority, competence, approved and current data, tooling and facilities, insurance, and availability.
